Accountability
Corrections
Short videos are a bad format for admitting error: a clip that has been reposted cannot be edited, and the version circulating is the version people see. So the rule here is that the page is the record. If a figure changes, this page says so and the video’s own page carries the note.
What counts as a correction
A wrong number, a misattributed source, a period that does not match the data, or a chart whose encoding misrepresents its own figures. All four get the same treatment: the clip is re-rendered, the page notes what changed, and the change is logged below.
Not every change is a correction. Fixing a typo in a caption, re-rendering for a different aspect ratio, or rewriting a title for clarity leaves the numbers untouched and is not logged.
Illustrative figures
Some clips use calculated or teaching figures rather than measurements — a birthday-paradox probability is arithmetic, not a survey. Those are labelled as such in their source line from the start. A clip whose source line failed to say so is a correction.
Reporting one
Send the video’s title, the figure you think is wrong, and what you believe the correct figure is — ideally with a source. The contact page has the address. Corrections are worth more than reach, and a reader who checks the numbers is doing the most useful thing anyone can do with this site.
The log
Nothing logged yet. That is not a boast — the library is young, and an empty log mostly means few people have checked.
